CHICAGO, Oct 7 (Reuters) -Following are U.S. expectations for the resumption of grain and soy complex trading at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) at 8:30 a.m. CDT (1330 GMT) on Monday.

WHEAT - Flat to down 2 cents

* Wheat futures down slightly as a tender for the grain from Saudi Arabia emphasized the cheapness of Russian supplies, but prices were supported by effects of the invasion of Ukraine.

* Russia's grain harvest will be hit by the impact of the invasion of Ukraine on grain-producing regions close to the border and by bad weather in many other regions, the RIA news agency cited Agriculture Minister Oksana Lut as saying on Monday.

* A Russian missile strike damaged a civilian Saint Kitts and Nevis-flagged grain vessel in the Ukrainian port of Pivdennyi on Oct. 6, Ukraine's restoration ministry said on Monday.

* Saudi Arabia has purchased 307,000 metric tons of wheat in a tender for arrival between December and January, the GFSA state buying agency said on Monday.

* Traders said they expected a substantial part of the purchase to be sourced from Russia because its wheat is being offered at low prices in international markets.

CBOT December soft red winter wheat WZ24 was last down 3/4 cent at $5.89 a bushel. K.C. December hard red winter wheat KWZ24 was last down 2-3/4 cents at $5.95-1/4 a bushel, and Minneapolis December spring wheat MWEZ24 was last down 4-3/4 cents at $6.33-3/4 a bushel.

CORN - Down 1 to 2 cents per bushel

* Chicago corn futures lower on beneficial harvest weather forecast for the central United States.

* Warm and dry conditions are expected in the U.S. Midwest through next week, according to analysts.

* The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) confirmed private sales of 155,000 metric tons of U.S. corn for shipment to Mexico in the 2024/25 marketing year.

* Iranian state-owned animal feed importer SLAL has issued international tenders to purchase up to 120,000 metric tons of animal feed corn, European traders said on Monday.

* CBOT December corn CZ24 was last down 1-3/4 cents at $4.23 per bushel.

SOYBEANS - Down 5 to 6 cents per bushel

* Soybean futures lower as dry weather propels the harvest in the central United States.

* Brazil's soybean planting for the 2024/25 season as of last Thursday reached 4.5% of the total expected area, agribusiness consultancy AgRural said on Monday, up from 2% the week before but still well below last year's 10%.

* The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) confirmed private sales of 172,500 metric tons of U.S. soybeans for shipment to undisclosed buyers in the 2024/25 marketing year.

* The Korea Feed Association (KFA) purchased around 60,000 metric tons of soymeal on Friday, European traders said on Monday.

* CBOT November soybeans SX24 were last down 5-3/4 cents at $10.32 per bushel.
