Diamondback Energy rises after Q3 production forecast boost
** Diamondback Energy's FANG.O shares up 2.8% premarket to $182.50 after it raises production forecast to reflect Endeavor Energy acquisition
** Texas-based shale driller now sees Q3 production of 565k-569k barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) vs earlier forecast of 459k-466k boepd
** For the qtr, it expects oil production in range of 319k-321k barrels per day (bpd), topping analysts' expectations of 284.6k, per LSEG
** JP Morgan resumes coverage at "overweight" with $182 PT (compared to overweight rating and $167 PT prior to being restricted due to pending Endeavor deal)
** In challenging oil macro environment in near term given awaited return of OPEC+ output, JPM says believes FANG will be a relative outperformer given its position at low end of the cost curve in the Midland Basin
** Barclays upgraded its rating on FANG to "overweight" from "equal-weight", according to Streetinsider
** 23 of 29 brokerages covering FANG rate stock "strong buy" or "buy", rest "hold" and their median PT is $220 - LSEG
** Last month, FANG closed $26 bln cash-and-stock buy of privately-held rival Endeavor
** Through Tues close, FANG shares up ~15% YTD
** Meanwhile, energy stocks climb before the bell tracking crude prices on rising Middle East tensions O/R
