Trump Media shares jump 19% as rally accelerates
** Trump Media & Technology Group's DJT.O shares up 17% at $24.06 on Thurs, putting them on track for ~45% weekly gain
** DJT on the session rises as much as 19.1% to $24.50, a six-week high. More than 34 mln shares have traded so far compared to stock's 30-day avg volume of ~15 mln shares, per LSEG
** Stock, which remains volatile, has more than doubled from its intraday low of $11.75 hit on Sept 24
** The ascent has accelerated since Sat, when Donald Trump held a large rally at rural Pennsylvania site where he was nearly assassinated on Jul 13. Trump called up on stage Tesla TSLA.O CEO Elon Musk, who endorsed the former president's candidacy minutes after the assassination attempt
** Retail traders and Trump supporters have helped propel shares of DJT, which operates the Truth Social app, and some view the stock as a proxy bet on his political fortunes
** In late Sept, a major insider slashed nearly all of its 5.5% stake in DJT shortly after the lock-up period expired related to co's Mar public listing
** Trump owns nearly 57% of DJT, a stake currently worth about $2.7 bln, and has said he is not selling his shares
